Robert Merlotti is a Managing Partner at Avec Group LLC focused on corporate growth strategy, M&A, and business/operational process improvement/optimization. Robert leverages 20 years of management consulting experience at several top global firms where he has provided advisory services to public and private companies, and private equity (PE) firms.
His expertise spans a range of industries including manufacturing (automotive, aerospace and defense, business equipment, and general industrial), consumer products, energy, business services, and technology. Prior to Avec Group, Robert led a national practice for Frost & Sullivan, was a Principal at Oliver Wyman, and served clients with M&A advisory services, operational improvement, organizational change management, and growth consulting for Deloitte Consulting.
Prior to management consulting, Robert held positions in product engineering, program management, operational finance, and corporate strategy/development for companies in the automotive and energy industries.
Robert serves on Investment Review Committees for several venture capital firms and assisted two R1 universities with ongoing technology commercialization support. He has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State and an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business.
